3Tribes 200hr yoga teacher training
Olivia delivers the anatomy and physiology aspects of the course. Students will learn to appreciate and work with the anatomy and needs of their individual bodies to help them advance their own practice. They will also begin to recognise how different body types can appear in different yoga postures, and so the variations they might expect to see in their own future students. The 3Tribes anatomy classes are interactive and (we hope!) fun, to encourage trainees to develop a love for - and fascination with - the human body and how it works.
Olivia also runs a workshop for trainees on how to create intelligent, balanced, sustainable yoga sequences. Students will discuss how to vary intensity, how to accommodate different levels of students, and as a group will design a yoga class (and then have the chance to practise it to see how it feels!). The sequencing technique Olivia uses can be applied to both classes and workshops, and to many different styles of yoga.
This training places a strong emphasis on getting trainees used to teaching, and on practising on each other in small groups. Olivia is one of the mentors that oversees these teaching practice groups.
